Dawnie SUP session, on the water for 5.45am for about 90 mins.
Knew it'd be a bit nippy as I got in the van to drive to beach and had to scrape ice off the windscreen in the dark .... Didn't just turn round and go back to bed like any sensible person might.
Once defrosted I headed to the beach optimistic that it'd be warmer on the coast ..... Nope!!!!
Time to MTFU .... Sea was flat calm, sun was just coming up so grabbed the Evo 10'9, donned the 4.5mm ION Strike, summer booties, then dug out the ION beanie and my palm less mitts coz it was still pretty chilly .... And went for it.
As soon as board was fin deep I hopped on and managed the complete session not getting wet much above the ankles :)
Paddled up and down the coast a bit, and then Ash rocked up and joined me using his 11'5 Kona as a SUP.
It even warmed up a bit as the golden ball gained altitude ;)
Would have been nicer if it was a bit warmer but it wasn't such a bad start to the working week ;)
